Advice
I met a lovely guy and we have been seeing each other for two months. He told me from the outset that he was waiting to hear about a job he had applied for in another city and it was exactly what he wanted to do as a career. About 6 weeks into our relationship he said that he’d been accepted and would be leaving. I have to say our time together was nothing less than fantastic, he was very loving and we had a lot of fun. He phoned and sent me texts nearly every day. Towards the end of his time here, he said we were so compatible he’d like to continue and he suggested we see each other every other weekend. I said I felt the same and asked him if he was sure this is what he wanted and he said yes it was. I agreed and thought everything was ok. He gave me a present which is something he owns and is of great sentimental value to him. I reciprocated and felt fine about the whole thing; he gave me every reason to believe he meant what he said. The day he left, we said our goodbyes and he said he would be arranging his trip back. It has now been a couple of weeks since he left. He has phoned me a couple of times since but from a witheld number and I missed both of the calls. He did not leave a message. I phoned him once a few days after he left and everything seemed fine, he told me all about the new city and that he would be booking his trip home. I have not heard from since. I tried to phone but only got his voicemail. I left a message saying I couldn’t believe I hadn’t heard from him again and that it was hurtful not to know whether he had changed his mind or not. I got another call from the witheld number the next day but again I missed the call and there was no message. I don’t know what to do now. I need some kind of closure at least. Should I accept it’s over or should I call him again, just for an explanation? I am hurting and stunned that he hasn’t contacted me after everything he said. Please help!
